History
The history of the internationally well-known centre of competence for dressage sport of the Kasselmann family goes back more than 1000 years.
It had started as an agricultural farm. In the 16th and 17th century, it had been the property of the Earl of Tecklenburg. In 1765, the Prussian king “Friedrich der Große” had allowed the peasants to buy off from the old authorities. The Kasselmanns had taken the chance and henceforth, they had been free farmers.
In the course of the 20th century, agriculture had been in flux and therefore, the main business had constantly changed into today’s passion: horses! It was Ullrich Kasselmann who spotted the constantly growing interest in riding sport and who transformed the farm into the modern equestrian centre it is today.
In 1972, he inherited the parental farm, and since that time, training and sale of horses are a family passion. Today, more than 45 employees are working on the 40 hectares of equestrian facilities, and 180 horses are ridden and trained day by day.
