Ankum goes Dressage - Third ADC Tournament
(Ankum) The response has been overwhelming: The Ankum Dressage Tournaments are enjoying increasing popularity and have managed to secure 48 national and international riders for 4th to 6th November in the Ankum Auction Centre at the Sport- und Seehotel. Amongst them we see the return of European Championship Team runner-up Christoph Koschel (Hagen a.T.W), Michael Klimke (Münster), trainer Kathrin Bettenworth (Spenge), Markus Gribbe (Lastrup) and Hayley Beresford, long-time pupil of Isabell Werth.
14 events are again on the programme, from the L-class Dressage Horse Test to the Grand Prix de Dressage. The third ADC tournament will kick off at 11.30am on Friday with the Youth Tests. The highlight will be the Grand Prix de Dressage on Sunday at 13.15. The selection of competitions reflects the different stages of learning and development that dressage horses experience.
In one L-class Dressage Horse Test the eleven five-year old horses will compete, while the Grand Prix de Dressage is a task for horses who have reached maturity. The Ankum Dressage Tournaments are designed so that they offer both professionals and amateurs the opportunity to take part in demanding Dressage events, and to try out and train for new horse/rider combinations. It is in exactly this way that Michael Klimke, for example, uses the ADC Tournaments. “It is an opportunity to return to riding under competition conditions after taking a break, and to present young horses as well as those well-established in the sport.”
Admission to the Ankum Dressage Tournament is free from 4th to 6th November. Visitors are most welcome. Information, schedules, and starting and results lists are available at www.psi-events.de
